You are able to schedule a task on a windows server as explained in the Installation Manual.

If hostdepartment.com do not allow you to set this up you can also schedule from any another computer with a permanent internet connection.

Unfortunately I do not have access to a perm connected windows machine.

I have found a useful website - http://scheduler.webgrid.com/Default.aspx - which will automatically access a webpage at specified intervals.

If i set it up to hit the cron_email.php file on my website every 5 mins, will this work?

No problem. Glad it will work. ALthough i have been recieving email like the following:

"19-04-2006 06:26:46 POP critical Unauthorised email cron request from :62.101.198.12"

You will have to set the incoming IP address (62.101.19812) in Settings -> Security Settings -> Bind address.

If the scheduler changes the IP address dynamically you will have to disable the Bind to IP addresses setting.

This is however a security risk so if you want to do that remove the ./application/api.php file. You will however then not be able to connect to TenderSystem via cURL.

The incoming IP address is dynamic; If the disable the bind to IP addresses is set, the tenders/emails are not processed.

Why? Or I guess will just have to live with an annoying email!
